“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Luke and Matthew.

I know I'll have lived my life well when I forget fear mostly, LOVE tremendously, deeply and tenderly, have fun mostly like kids in a treehouse, and wonder all the time.

If any of my students stumble along by, greetings to you, and you might want to check out the Gaian Scholarships site before you mosey away.
Family is the center of my energy. The love and groundedness from there goes out through circles of friends, students, colleagues. Love is the mode of operation.
“I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.”
I try to do all kinds of stuff, and I can't remember them ALL all the time, but I'll try to brainstorm you a list. Do you happen to enjoy any of the following?
Reading: Right now I'm reading novels with plots so I can deal with giant changes in my sleeping patterns due to the fact that my dear sweet one, my husband of 25 years, has recently passed. We're ok. I think he's ok, too. I think he's visited me twice. Once to dance. I've never danced so weightlessly, effortlessly in my life. Lasted a few seconds.
Recently, I read a wonderful book written by our fellow Gaian, Judi Ivy, Between the Worlds. You can read my review of Between the Worlds on the Amazon page, or here. If you're interested in feminist literature, sci fi or fantasy, or you enjoy a good allegory, this is a great read.
Social entrepreneurship captures my heart and imagination. I'd like to do a project on that in partnership with our Business Dept. (I teach Communication, Sociology and Women's Studies). The central idea of social entrepreneurship is that people can find things that need to be done to improve society, and instead of thinking about them as “social problems,” think about them as opportunities to create a business that provides a solution to that problem. For example, a couple in our area are setting up a coffee business in Haiti to assist economic development in Haiti. (I'll get you a link when their web site gets done.)
Peace is important. I work with groups to make peace quilts and teach and practice nonviolent communication.

I love to laugh, play games, travel, learn new things, exercise, belly dance, cook Middle Eastern food, shop, sew, putter around the house, hug kitty-cats, enjoy EVERYBODY, enjoy art, watch videos, goof off, waste time, sit in restaurants with friends and family, go on (reasonably short) hikes, take pictures, listen to people, love people, be grateful, look around and see what is there to be seen, and probably all sorts of other things that I'm just not thinking about right now. Most of all I am basically a very large child. Or old child. Or something like that.
Speaking of play, an important pod is PLAY POD! Play is the Way!!!

It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

One way I'd like to change the world is to share Brain Fraser's approach to nuclear physics with the world, so that somebody who can understand what he is saying could read it and really see what he's saying. You will note that I've listed Brian as one of my teachers, below. Frankly, I'm not smart enough to learn much about physics from anybody, but Brian is one of my teachers in life. He is a thoroughly decent person, a genuinely kind person, and a moderately invisible person. He's not one to be doing the social networks; I've decided to plant that seed for him. I'm inserting a link to his awesome and overwhelming website below. If you go there, please read “An Atom or a Nucleus.” That is a cogent and straightforward introduction to his approach. “Be Sure of All Things” is another great door into the world of Brian. Other features people enjoy about his website are the cure for the flu (“The Formula”), and “Four Subversive Piano Lessons.”http://www.geocities.com/scripturalphysics/
