What is your relationship to independence?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 04, 2009:
"Independence" for me is based on integrity--an understanding of how I am. I think about "independence" within or from the experience of interdependence. Realizing the nature of our relationships with others, our interconnectedness, can lead to an understanding of how we are at the same time unique.
