Today we said the word "goodbye," and left his ashes here. This is where he asked to be, when it would become necessary to part our ways.
When I die
Give what's left of me away
To children
And those that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give me.
I want to leave you something.
Something better
Than words
Or sounds.
Look for me
In the people I've known
Or loved.
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live in your eyes
And not in your mind.
You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.
Love doesn't die,
People do.
So, when all that's left of me
Is love,
Give me away.

How very beautiful is that!
I spent last evening with a very dear friend who has just received a gloomy diagnosis….. and we drank red wine and talked about life and death, and dying and fear and mindfulness and Love…..
so thank you….and lots of love to you too
Jane
Oh, blessings, dear Martha for your day and the ashes on the ground and the memories of your husband and his precious life. And your precious life together. When it becomes necessary to part ways…we never know when that is going to happen, do we? Sending you a gentle hug this day, Kathy
Martha, it's a beautiful place to say goodbye. Tender hug to you and your family in your grief.
Hi Jane, my heart goes out to you and your friend, and your spending the evening together and talking about good and real things, things that matter, inspires me, and warms my heart, and I'm sending you both a warm and appreciative hug.
Kathy, thank you for your hug. Your amazing and abiding presence is such a huge support to so many.
Hi Nicole, thank you for coming by so very often, and for keeping me in your beautiful circle.

very precious, dear Martha. Thank you so much for letting us journey with you. Holding you in this heart which you allow to grow with your sharing of treasures and sorrows
thank you for sharing this precious moment of love & peace.
Looks like a good place to be Martha and a good place to say the word “good - bye” warm cyber [[[hug]]] as you continue your journey. Terrill
p.s. these [[[ ]]] are super strong arms that can hold buckets of grief and then release it to be composted into something rich and nurturing - just have to turn it once in awhile… not too often.
Thank you sweet souls for coming by to share this space with me for a minute. Thank you for your hugs and kind thoughts. I'm {{{{HUGGING}}}} you back, with respect and gratitude.
Absolutely awesome! I read all of the above blog posts and could not pass by without sharing your “space” for the moment. I came to pay my respects for the one I have not “met” but through you have come to “know”. This says it all.
Beautiful photography and I love the scene where you placed the ashes- the desert has a profound beauty all its own.
Namaste and Gentle Hugs,
Starseed
