Oh God, like, you have to ASK?

Help

Hi, Martha - you said it much more efficiently than I did
May we both get the help we need :-)
Sylvia
Ahhh looks like home to me……: )lol. Particularly after a long period of focussing on my work…all else seems to go wildly astray!
Ah sweet Martha,
You have to make a mind shift, before you can shift this “stuff” out of your life.I have been through this with family members who are hoarders. If you don't stop it soon, it will only get worse, believe me. I hear people won't get rid of stuff, because there is some possible good stuff buried in the piles.
THE STUFF? USE IT OR LOSE IT.
- set it free to be used and loved by someone else.
You are not loving it, or you would be treating it better.
When you are gone, your kin will order up several dumpsters and fill them and haul the stuff away, shaking their heads and wondering why in hell you kept all this stuff. Have you cleared out any deceased relatives houses? You will learn a lot of lessons if you do. Think of people going through your “stuff” when you are gone. How many WEEKS and dollars are they going to spend on getting rid of your “Stuff”? I wish you luck with this and hope you can break away from the stuff. It's not you, is it?
there's always a bright side. at least i'll never be one of those women who regrets they spent too much time cleaning the house and not enough time playing with the kids. :-)
Phew! For me, it takes a phone call from a sister, and the whole house gets tidied. [Shhh..don't look at my desk while I'm Gaia-ing!]
YAY! I've found some kindred spirits! Honestly, that's a picture I found on the internet to symbolize my house… not quite that bad… but not your basic clean and peaceful space, either! My problem is that right now we can't WALK around because there's an extra Cal King sized mattress and the box springs that go with it, AND an old TV AND the cabinet that it goes with, all sitting around. It's a long story. Those things will move on soon. (oh yeah, then there's the old printer…) Now most of the clutter really IS my husband's clutter, not mine, and I've never really bugged him about it… but this year Jupiter is in my area of House and Home, so I've got a great chance to de-clutter this year! :)
Today our house looks pretty spiffy. The guests will be arriving shortly for dinner. Tomorrow we will slowly let our guard down and become careless with our tidyness.
I have one room that somewhat resembles the room in the photo. I keep saying that I'll get it in order the following day, but I keep procrastinating. There's something about a cluttered room that's uninviting–so uninviting, in fact, that I don't want to enter it even to de-clutter.
I like Mimi's advice. I'll try to follow it–but I can see myself continuing to put off working on the mess until an indefinite tomorrow.
too funny martha… i actually kept staring at the picture trying to figure out where in your garage that could be? your house is never a mess like that!
so what if a mattress and printer (hey does the printer work, would it work with my laptop? I need a printer, mine was stolen from storage!!!) are sticking out… and you finally got that big table out of one of the offices… your home is comfy and lived in, and you have beautiful things to look at all over it! if oneof the dogs does not knock you over or if you sit on keetalknee!!! or Popo! I love your pets! they even slept with me!!!
what about the bed on the back yard space you made a few years ago??? could sleep under the stars, hmmmmm… some nice netting … ;)
Jupiter is planet of abundance/expansion… so make sure to clear away space, cuz there could be new and bigger stuff on the way!!! ;)
I dont mind my own clutter, it's others stuff that drives me cookoo, if they put it on top of my stuff and I lose my visual, out of sight outof mind…
and remember when i changed the words when i felt my life chaotic and cluttered? it became busy and full, and it felt great!!!
need any help, let me know! as long as not 123 degrees!
