Songs of Joy and Peace

Yeah, it's happening to me, too.  A woman told me the other day that lately she cries about even the smallest things, like a TV show or even an advertisement.

99.9 KESZ was playing in my car as I drove somewhere the other morning.  Beth n' Bill, the popular morning hosts, were at a local mall, giving away prizes.  They asked who, among the crowd of shoppers, would like to win a particular thing, and people could step forward.  The only catch was, they had to sing a Christmas carol.  A man asked to go get his wife so she could sing for him, because she would be a much better singer.  Beth told him no, that if he wanted the prize, he needed to sing right now himself.  So, he began to sing Silent Night.  His voice was a tenor, and surprisingly good, but waivered as he sang, showing the stress he might be feeling from singing alone.  "Let's help him out, shall we?" asked Beth, and the voices of the shoppers at the mall poured out through my radio..."all is calm, all is bright!"  That's when the tears came to my eyes--about something just as simple as that.  I didn't want the man to sing alone either, and joining the voices from the mall, I sang alone in my car--yet, not alone.

I thought about the idea that we all have our part to play, our love to give the world.  I felt that connection between and among everyone that people talk about.  It's just, Stop where you are and express your love!  Never forget that you are that love, and that you come from that place.  There is nothing to prove, nothing to acquire, nothing to conquer.  There is the truth of human kindness.
